Today I learned that in Nolan’s movie "Odyssey," there is a line: "Sinon was the greatest warrior among the Greeks." Sinon is not mentioned in Homer at all, and in the film he is played by a woman. Now look at what’s happening. We Greeks are forced to listen to barbarians telling us that the movie is amazing, while watching our Greek civilization being mocked on screen, and being told that the greatest warrior of the Greeks is Sinon, played by a woman.

In other words, we Greeks are forced to watch a film based on our own history and our ancestors, and if we disagree with what we see or get angry about it, then we are called racists and puppets of Elon Musk. That’s what they tell us.

So from now on, the purpose of my life will be to turn as many people as possible against all those academics and classicists who supported this abomination, this thing that mocks Greek culture, takes the greatest and most important Greek epic poem, and turns it into a "fairy tale."

No, it is not a fairy tale. It is our Greek history. They are our Greek ancestors. And we have every right to express our opinion, to demand proper representation in the casting, and to demand that Greek academics and historians oversee the script and the historical authenticity of films that exploit Greek civilization to make money in our name.

Enough with the exploitation, the propaganda, and the distortion.

Unlike a licensed slaughterhouse, where animals are handled individually and slaughtered by trained personnel in a controlled environment, new footage has emerged from a Clare farm that shows cattle being corralled in groups of three with ropes placed around their necks. It’s understood the cull involves the farmer whose cattle were culled last week in County Roscommon.

The footage shows that the stun gun deployed fails to knock out the cattle and the distressed animals can clearly be seen moving and struggling on top of one another.

These images raise serious animal welfare concerns and warrant an immediate, independent investigation into the conduct of this Department of Agriculture operation.

Following the release of footage from a Roscommon farm which went viral on social media last week, the Department issued statements to sections of the mainstream media.

It’s expected that documents relating to the farmer’s interactions with the Department that will form part of forthcoming legal proceedings, will clearly contradict parts of the media reports attributed to statements from the Department of Agriculture.

The financial accounts for Adam Harris (brother of FG leader Simon) charity Asiam for 2025 have been published. Another superb year!

Revenue at the charity surged by 54% from €2.4m to €3.7m

Most of the increase came from the HSE whose donation increased from €244,607 to €1,147,507

Other notable donors were the Irish (sic) Human Rights and Equality Commission, the €10m state-funded outfit of which Adam Harris is a commissioner.

And Rethink Ireland, which is partly state-funded, donated €139,378 compared to zero the previous year. Adam Harris is now on the board of Rethink Ireland.

Such a small world, and presumably Adam Harris excused himself as these organisations discussed donations to Asiam.

Most of the increased funding has gone on staffing, increased from 27 to 44, staff costs increase from €1.4m to €2.5m

Adama Harris was paid €98,595 compared to €97,500 the previous year (though the previous year's accounts put his pay in the €80-90k band, who knows)

It was just over €100k when Adam's brother was first appointed to Cabinet in 2016.

What a superb job Adam Harris has done and in such a crowded field of state-funded autism charities. Well done to him!

Family at centre of Irish deportation to South Africa, has been deported again! And where are RTE, Irish Times, Ivana Bacik, Richard Boyd Barrett and others now? Probably trying to get the egg off their faces!

In February 2026, we had wall-to-wall coverage of the "South African" family, the Oyekanmi family (mother, three children) who were being deported from Dublin to South Africa.

Irish Times featured the family several times, RTE reported a protest outside the Dept of Justice, Ivana Bacik led the campaign in the Dail to stop the deportation with close support from Richard Boyd Barrett.

There was a legal challenge to the deportation, with the family represented by KOD Lyons.

On 28 February, they were deported to South Africa.

But then, they were deported again on 3 March 2026 from South Africa to Nigeria on the basis they are Nigerian nationals (and not just the mother as claimed in Irish media). The family have been the subject of at least two parliamentary questions in the South African parliament, see below. There are local claims in South Africa that their passports used to enter Ireland were fraudulent, but that hasn't been verified.

Given the heartstring-tugging coverage by our mainstream media, you might think the South Africa to Nigeria deportation might merit a footnote, but that might be "decidedly unhelpful" as it may call into question the soundness of our asylum system ( particulaly the vetting, and the soundness of our media, and the soundness of certain politicians).

That report should be sending off massive alarm bells. Based on the numbers in it, Blackrock Clinic likely earned around €4million last year. Meanwhile children whose families don’t have the ability to pay or without health insurance are left to suffer and slowly deteriorate. Not only that though, prioritising private children is an ableist act.
The complex children often cannot receive treatment in the private system regardless of if they can cover the cost. Harvey had fantastic health insurance, but for him he had to be treated in the public system.

This is discrimination.
This is ableism.
This is systemic neglect.
