@papaindies The plot conveniently killed him there, that doesn't mean it was the right choice. Mumkar was coming back to try to kill the party yet again when he got stuck and pinned.
@dungiss@SuperSavajin@BioDomeWithPS He explicitly said that he left and would have come back to claim the monado for himself before being caught. And unlike the other face mechon, he kept his memories and actively uses his memories and relationships to taunt Dunban.
@Icomntwenicfeet@SuperSavajin I get that, but this moment is a moment of self defense, like the last 5 instances. There does not need to be a judge for self defense to be justified.
@TommySkywlker11@wiihackU@thezeldanator Ok, but in effect shulk is because he lets mumkar go.
What's the practical reason for letting mumkar walk after everything he's done? You can argue that shulk wanting to let him free because he's a homs is also emotional and illogical.
@papaindies Unlike Egil, he shows no remorse and actively boasts in his actions. He delights in the murder or attempted murder of his fellow men and comrades, and just seeks to kill. If let free, he would continue to seek for ways to harm and kill where he can. A society can't live with that
@papaindies I see the bigger picture, but mumkhar has demonstrated a psychopathy that dates to before his transformation. He's also guilty of the murder/kidnap of the emperor, many of colony 9's people, a threat against fiora twice, and this scene is the 5th time he's tried killing shulk.
@SuperSavajin I'd argue the cycle of revenge doesn't factor into the equation if the guy you want revenge against has also tried killing you 3 separate times and is in the process of wanting to kill you again in the moment. At that point, it's purely self defense and dunban is right here.
@TommySkywlker11@wiihackU@thezeldanator The practicality of "this guy is guilty of murder, but we can forgive him and let him go because he's human"? Every society has morally allowed for self defense as a justifiable reason for murder, and mumkar is actively trying to kill the party still.
@Icomntwenicfeet@SuperSavajin The difference is that Fiora has done nothing dangerous as silver face while metal face has done a LOT (killed fiora and other homs, murdered the emperor in front of Melia, destroyed colony 6) and was also a traitor as a human. He's extremely guilty.
@SuperSavajin@BioDomeWithPS He willingly abandoned his friends and compatriots to die to the mechon before he was captured and turned to metal face, the difference is that becoming metal face gave him the power to do it himself.
@Pacifist_Elk Ok, but when are we counting Tear's start and Xc3's start? Tear's definitely started while working on dlc for botw, but the XC team was also working on the XC1 remake AND tears development in some capacity.
@MaaatheuscomTH@KathAntonio7 You can dip into the start of a lot of dungeons, but you can't beat them like that. For example, dungeon 5 requires the item from dungeon 2, or most of the latter dungeons require the ladder from dungeon 4.
