@DelHerring@nytimes I’m a word person but I find this game too random; this only confirms my dislike since it’s not even really correct (Brits may claim it’s Special Processed American Meat, but NO ONE in the US would recognize that, no one.)
@jstheater Remembrance of Things Past. Read it over a summer, much of it while commuting on the subway in DC when I was 22 or 23. It was the sheer daunting heft of it, I guess.
@iSmashFizzle I was 59, my parents 86. It started 2+ years ago, sometime after Covid hit, when they stopped going out at all (though they haven’t had it, knock on wood). Dad’s very deaf but otherwise physically good, but has dementia. Mom has no dementia but barely hanging on physically…
