L3 Edu Provider DEFRA Mod3, CoP Liaison, MC Para, Clinical Team Mentor Keen interest in SAR and PHEM medicine All opinions are mine and not those of my employer
Goes to show the importance of LFT’s! Confirmed by a PCR 3 days into my isolation still completely asymptomatic, how many would I have potentially infected if I hadn’t been swabbing?? #Covid_19#NHS
@jbrannan23@FatallyY0urs I genuinely don’t understand the IP&C argument against shorts.
Thin layer of material that then absorbs said bodily fluid and your legs are exposed to it, coupled with either changing or disposing uniform (dependant on how soggy) rather than a couple of Clinels and cracking on?
@ParaAndy90 It’s advised to, however it’s not mandatory. Risk assessment and mitigation can be put in place, 3rd manning etc…
My other half was out on the road until 16ish weeks, did I like it - Nope. Did i support her and ensure our trust did as much as they could to keep her safe - Yup!
I use this account to teach people about Pre hospital emergency practice and promote the podcast. I don’t use advertisements and my content is also free. The goal is to hit 3,000 followers to be able to reach more people!
Can I get some RTs and follows to help me get there?🚑
@Sam_060996@TheRealRead WAST have them….
And realistically, how much protection does a pair of ambo issue trousers actually provide us if we’re as you say “kneeling in blood”
@NARU1_Education Surprisingly, a lot of the time it’s more so because of who gives the offer. (Had a friend who used to be heavily involved in procurement for a trust)
@TheRealRead@TheLeeMcLaren @George_Brbr My trust aren’t terrible at this, there’s multiple exercises through the year, and whilst they’re in own time OT is paid for them. Coupled with hub mentor teams and ECT’s putting on CPD sessions, whilst still not enough, it’s a good step in the right direction..
@Nat_O_Byrne What bugs me the most about holding, is not the fact we have to do it. It’s the fact that it’s being normalised, accepted, and in some circumstances actively welcomed…
I joined the job to develop as a prehospital practitioner, not become an extension of an A&E waiting room..
End of Week 1 teaching our new HEMS Paramedics and Paramedics in Critical Care on our ‘Critical Care Foundation Course’. Steep learning curve, lots of challenging sim but they’re grafting 💪 - Week 2 will ramp things further for the team!
NEW PAPER ALERT! Link between intra-arrest IBP and ROSC. New RAID paper in Resuscitation. The results of @EastAngliAirAmb SPEAR program, with very interesting results. IBP in OHCA is important! @EMDocJB@DrPaulRees@ShadmanAziz2@DefProfEM@phemDM https://t.co/7ExJOCgtft
Difficult shift job on today, not a sympathy post, I’ll be grand once I’ve decompressed.
Just a reminder, cherish those little moments in life and please take a moment to tell your nearest and dearest how loved they are! ❤️
