@GNairambulance @JDF_Keswick The H145 is truly an exceptional HEMS aircraft. Having worked in H109, MD902, H135, H145, Twin Sqirrell, S92, Black Hawk, Chinook and Osprey, I think you’ll be pleased with the H145 capabilities (as the chinook’s probably out of the running) 🤣

Severe (and isolated) TBI patients do not do well if hypotensive post intubation. Higher SBP thresholds needed to prevent mortality than previously published.

@DrRJWebb Yes often have done this, also pumps not necessarily an issue. Ive used micrel pumps which are light and small but micro bolus, fine for most things prehospital 👍

These are 2 amazing research leaders. Researching the pre hospital space is extremely hard. Investing in research infrastructure & talent is essential for for HEMS charities to deliver evidence based improvements for the patients that fund them. Well done EHAAT!

After 5 and a bit years as Deputy Medical Director at EAAA I’m excited to start a great new job as Deputy Chief Medical Officer at the James Paget Hospital.

I’ll use the leaving gift I received from EAAA to remind myself that closing one door can lead to opening a bigger one 😁
