Before starting to sue, questions to ask include: is my Hospital well set-up to deliver safe and quality care? What’s their Patient Safety Score? What’s their Quality Management Score? What’s the experience of other hospital users?
I am worried about our medical profession and how they treat patients. Have you ever sued a doctor or a hospital in Nigeria for negligence that resulted in the death of a loved one, or do you just say it was the will of God?
This is serious. We must begin to ask questions.
@yemi_uc@docneto@RateNaijaHosp Best Rated Hospital rates hospitals in 2 ways: 1. based on aggregate of user experiences. 2. Based on international accreditation standards producing Quality Scores and Patient Safety Scores for Hospitals. Users must demand for these scores
@yemi_uc@docneto@RateNaijaHosp 1. No central authority to report to. Lagos had a mechanism to report specific mortalities, FCCPC acts on user complaints- serious need for standardised reporting mechanism. 2. Like @docneto said, different platforms /enthusiasts have different tools, but no wide acceptance yet..
Happening now! I'm giving a keynote lecture titled - 'Basic Sciences in the Era of Translational Research: Are we lost?' at the First Humboldt Kolleg International Conference holding at Conference hall @nimrnigeria@LSMOH@followlasg
