My children don’t want to go to the “free live science demonstration” at the museum because they feel their whole life is a “live science demonstration” 😂 #momlife#womeninscience#WomeninSTEM

Proud and impressed with this group.
I tell them on the first day that they are going to learn to do hard things and succeed on a deadline.
Pretty sure none of them realized they could make a virtual reality game in 4 days. After the final showcase, they know they can succeed!
Congratulations to the Saturday STEM Students on an educational and inspirational final showcase! In just six days, they imagined, designed, and coded virtual reality games to teach about an unseen hero - plankton Important to ecosystems, whether you’re in a coastal city or not!
It is nice that @Nature is featuring lack of funding for #WomensHealth research. But we also need the major journals to start publishing female-focused studies, which requires a shift in priorities. All elements of the "system" need to change to boost research on women's health!
Today is UW–Madison Day in DC! I’m excited to reconnect with fellow Badgers and have meaningful conversations with members of Congress about federal funding and policies that impact UW–Madison and HigherEd across the country. #CantStopABadger
Walking the walk to have a talk with our national representatives about funding education and research! I like doing #advocacy because it’s another opportunity to tell stories about the impact that our tax dollars has on communities and individuals.
“Writing feels a lot like science. In both I’m taking something I know & putting it under unbearable scrutiny to help me understand it.” - winner @blgtylr at the Sloan / @nationalbook Science + Literature Award Ceremony at @cooperunion w/ @aznfusion@xrw & moderator @jbakernyc
I am so proud of the Saturdays high school students, undergraduate teaching assistants and instructor. They had audacious goals, they were learning together and they presented “tech for good” projects that were beyond what we imagined possible! #success
