This is the money quote for the whole Trump v. United States case. Justice Barrett has it exactly right — and shows why the Court (and maybe the Special Counsel) is making this way too hard. The sole question should be whether acts relating to running for president are core executive functions or not. Obviously, they are not. The President has no role in the selection of the President. Period.
