Listening to @cpsenergy leadership again tonight in the tele-townhall talking about wanting to have a conversation about retiring the Spruce coal plant. We've been having this conversation for YEARS. When is the right time to actually make a decision and implement a plan?

Again @cpsenergy, that 'resource plan' has so much info redacted, and so much data and analysis missing, that is impossible to really engage with the report. There are many models for public participation to look to- lets find one that works and get to work together!

@ryan_serpico In spirit of using #data to pull people out of #poverty, we should ask why we allow @cpsenergy to charge some folks 20% of their take-home pay for electricity and most others 4%. (Dark purple, near westside.) Energy burden is real.

We've been fighting to close our Spruce Coal plant since 2017 as a coalition. In January, we saw @cpsenergy had a plan to do just that in 2027/2028. But how will they replace the coal power? Gas? Clean energy y storage? Next Monday's board meeting should tell us a lot.
