Unfortunately, protontherapy for prostate cancer, does not improve results when compared with IMRT. Best results are obtained with a brachytherapy boost either with seeds or hdr implant and at a fraction of the cost of protontherapy. Brachytherapy cures!!!!!

@KamravaMD It's well known that HDR brachytherapy single dose as sole treatment for low-risk-early prostate cancer doesn't work. Nevertheless, fractionated HDR is an excellent option for those patients. Proper patient selection and treatment prescription are crucial. Brachytherapy cures!!!

Appropriate patient selection is crucial to achieve the best results is all cancer patients. In selected low-risk, small-sized, early diagnosed breast cancer patients treated with conservative surgery + hormone therapy, radiotherapy can be avoided or delayed safely.
