@KevinMcCurdy This has to do with Team Canada and the Olympics. Not choosing Bouchard and then losing the gold medal game is the sole reason to snub Bouchard for the Norris now. Including him would remind us of the failure of Team Canada management.
@dstaples@edmontonjournal There is also the A-Bomb : age. The wear and tear of the last 5 years are showing up. It’s why it was incumbent on Oiler management to find younger, faster skilled players and the coaching staff to properly develop them. You could argue that we have reached the end of this cycle.
It’s #AcademicMedicineWeek. Med schools improve health via research breakthroughs. Case in point? A non-opioid molecule developed by @Jacobs_Med_UB researchers acts like a local, long-lasting anesthetic, providing pain relief for up to 3 weeks: https://t.co/YPBAMAFn3f

@Bhattacharjee__ et al. find that locally targeting the scaffolding of NaV1.8 channels using a lipidated peptidomimetic reduced neuropathic pain behavior for many weeks after a single administration in preclinical studies. Learn more in #PAIN https://t.co/bkcVT5sXAq
@dstaples I hope Leon Draisaitl comes back from the break pissed off that the NHL did not recognize him as an all star this year. Watching yesterdays game, I appreciated how a cut above Draisaitl is to most of the players on either team
@dstaples@edmontonjournal I think we have enough of a sample size, regular season and playoffs: a healthy Draisaitl is better driving his own line. McDavid has to go back and get used to driving his own line to shore up his defensive responsibilities.
