One of the running jokes about my restock timeline is that it moves at the speed of continental drift.

More money for inventory would help. But the real bottleneck much to my factory’s annoyance is that I keep changing things.

When you’re running thousands of units to keep costs reasonable, the sample has to be right. One bad detail times 3,000 is a bad time.

Case in point: an early sample had a OneWrap strap that was about a quarter inch too short on each side. Not catastrophic. But because everything in the system is standardized and interchangeable, that quarter inch lived everywhere. So instead of swapping one strap, we redid the measurements across the board until every component matched..
