Thanks Andrej. ๐
I will add for my friends, that I personally use Claude / Gemini for coding. Claude is my expensive Project Designer, Project Manager and Sr software engineer while Gemini is my cost effective execution engineer once the vision is laid out with Claude.
An attempt to explain (current) ChatGPT versions.
I still run into many, many people who don't know that:
- o3 is the obvious best thing for important/hard things. It is a reasoning model that is much stronger than 4o and if you are using ChatGPT professionally and not using o3 you're ngmi.
- 4o is different from o4. Yes I know lol. 4o is a good "daily driver" for many easy-medium questions. o4 is only available as mini for now, and is not as good as o3, and I'm not super sure why it's out right now.
Example basic "router" in my own personal use:
- Any simple query (e.g. "what foods are high in fiber"?) => 4o (about ~40% of my use)
- Any hard/important enough query where I am willing to wait a bit (e.g. "help me understand this tax thing...") => o3 (about ~40% of my use)
- I am vibe coding (e.g. "change this code so that...") => 4.1 (about ~10% of my use)
- I want to deeply understand one topic - I want GPT to go off for 10 minutes, look at many, many links and summarize a topic for me. (e.g. "help me understand the rise and fall of Luminar"). => Deep Research (about ~10% of my use). Note that Deep Research is not a model version to be picked from the model picker (!!!), it is a toggle inside the Tools. Under the hood it is based on o3, but I believe is not fully equivalent of just asking o3 the same query, but I am not sure.
All of this is only within the ChatGPT universe of models. In practice my use is more complicated because I like to bounce between all of ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok and Perplexity depending on the task and out of research interest.
@minchoi I understand the fear out there. But we do have a cryptographically secure, decentralized verification infrastructure, already battle-tested in the most greed-driven sector in existence. Blockchain technology could geotag, timestamp, and verify validity.
I think it can work.
@xai@OpenAI
One thing you both could do that is small for you, but big for us is allow us to star conversations. @AnthropicAI does this and it really helps. Thanks ๐
@markgurman Apple events used to be an EVENT. The world stopped, work stopped, families came together and we EXPERIENCED the keynote.
Now itโs just an afternoon to have AI summarize.
I think @apple and @tim_cook are making a mistake pushing in this direction.
@bentossell 2 things.
#1 Vibe coding is not there yet. If your skilled you can guide the AI, but if not it will just throw things together that works, but is messy.
#2 Itโs going to get better FAST. The leap from 1 year ago is astounding and its only speeding up.
choo choo, we coming๐
@AnthropicAI Finally. This has been the ONE feature keeping me on chatGPT. If itโs solid, I am canceling and coming back to Claude. I have really been liking 3.7 thinking in @cursor_ai and vibe coding. Also, itโs just 1 model, not 4o for general, 4.5 for research, but only 50 times, etc, etc.
@DUKE_content@elonmusk@Starlink This is interesting. A cheap price point with very low usage cap. If you need it, instantly upgrade for more. Recurring revenue for them and safety for us in case ofโฆ stuff.
@rohanpaul_ai So what I just heard was that Microsoft wants our data not only for free, but for us to pay them and then they can continue to train AI on it.
@TWiT Nice one. Intel is such an interesting story. Prime to hit the floor and turn it around amidst the flames. We need an American based chip maker. Interesting years ahead, hope they can turn it.
@elonmusk I would like to see a bench seat. It would be more comfortable, and it would also allow a single passenger to have reduced neck strain or maybe the monitor could move. You donโt want to end up like the guy in the jerk who sold the glasses and made everyone cross eyed.
@daycyberwox Next up.
Eliptical : Combats the impact to knees running does and makes it so you can never find an excuse not to get the excersice in.
Home Gym : Power Cage / Adustable Dumbells / Bench / Kettle bells / Plates.
Maybe about 2k? You can go higher or lower, but that was my cost.
