Today, @BujagaliEnergy (BEL) organized an Emergency Preparedness and Response Sensitization Workshop at the Source of the Nile Hotel in Jinja. The workshop brought together staff, contractors and key stakeholders to strengthen awareness and readiness in handling potential emergencies within the company’s operational environment.

The session emphasized the importance of proactive planning, teamwork and clear communication channels during emergencies to safeguard lives, property and the environment. Participants were guided through key response procedures, risk identification and coordination mechanisms among different departments and partners.

Facilitators from BEL together with invited experts, led practical discussions on incident management.. The workshop also provided an opportunity for participants to share experiences and recommendations aimed at improving BEL’s emergency response systems.
