You must be patient when learning doctrine, especially when learning from @abeldamina . You can’t watch a 30-second clip of the second episode of a movie with 8 seasons and make a conclusion.
Here’s a little break down of the hypersensitivities.
Type I hypersensitivity is the mechanism underlying the classic allergic response. It’s also called “immediate” hypersensitivity, which makes sense to any allergy sufferer (as soon as you start petting the cat, it starts)
It’s caused by an antigen (from an allergen, like cat dander) binding to IgE antibodies that are bound to the surface of mast cells. The antigen bridges the IgE antibodies, triggering release of nasty mediators (like histamine) from the mast cell.
Type I hypersensitivity: allergy
Type II hypersensitivity: antibody
Type III hypersensitivity: immune complex ( kinda weird name)
Type IV hypersensitivity: T cells.
We will break them down.
Which type of hypersensitivity reaction is involved in allergic reactions?
Sometimes, when you're learning a complex new mechanism or disease, it's best to see if you can summarize it in as few words as possible. Lol
Once you see and understand the big picture, you can start to fill in and appreciate the smaller details.
So it is with the four hypersensitivity reactions. I think you can summarize them in one word each (okay, two words at most):
•Butterfly rash (red rash across the cheeks and nose)
•Fever
•Joint pain
•Pleuritic chest pain (pain when taking a deep breath)
•Photosensitivity (an increase in symptoms after being out in the sun)
Have a good one😎
On Path-Talk today is Systemic Lupus Erythromatous.
Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a disease that can hit many different systems and have many different symptoms. It has been called "the great imitator" because clinically, it can look like so many other diseases.
So our imaginary patient with the most common signs and symptoms of lupus would be a young woman. She would have some or all of the following symptoms:
@pmcafrica I’m sure it was because of the teaching that she heard that created an impression of an inconsistent God in her mind. Because when scriptures are not properly explained, there’s bound to be errors and inconsistency of truth.
