That’s the thing though it’s not anymore. To get a decent meal at a respectable restaurant, in cities that aren’t total trash, it’s going to run you closer to 100.

I have high standards for my food, and the ingredients I source for my home cooking. And a restaurant matching all of that costs 100 a meal yes, and I can cook at home for like 20$ a day max . Plus I consider the time taken to go to the restaurant and wait for service, it’s about the same as me cooking.

Or you consider “eating out” getting a gas station hot dog or uber eats McDonald’s, if that’s all you’re saving . If I were to go to a restaurant that serves food as good as I cook, would be 50-100$ meal minimum.
