a12 Building relationships with students and treating them with empathy obviously makes a difference #olanderinclusion

[Doug LeBert @BilingualBear]

a12 Definitely makes me consider white privilege and how other races perceive it in the classroom #olanderinclusion

[Doug LeBert @BilingualBear]

@nicolebianco67 Maybe time consuming at first, but it definitely should get easier and less time consuming with experience #olanderinclusion

[Doug LeBert @BilingualBear]

@Laurelabbott19 This photo is such a great depiction of expectations in the classroom! #olanderinclusion

[Doug LeBert @BilingualBear]

@KennHildebrandt I like your comparison to a "vehicle." Great metaphor. #olanderinclusion

[Doug LeBert @BilingualBear]

@nicolebianco67 This is why we need to constantly assess formally and informally. #olanderinclusion

[Doug LeBert @BilingualBear]

@sali_lawrence Without assessing we would not be able to differentiate. We must assess to discover the indivdual needs of the students. #olanderinclusion

[Doug LeBert @BilingualBear]

@JenmKao such a great metaphor! #olanderinclusion

[Doug LeBert @BilingualBear]

@Patriciaa172 I also think it's important to hear their point of view before trying to reassure them of your own. #olanderinclusion

[Doug LeBert @BilingualBear]

@alaskasante That's what I'm talking about! #olanderinclusion

[Doug LeBert @BilingualBear]

@Patriciaa172 That's a great idea...support your point of view with evidence. #olanderinclusion

[Doug LeBert @BilingualBear]

@TaniaSpencer20 That would be my last result. I would definitely try to work things out with that teacher and find a happy medium first. #olanderinclusion

[Doug LeBert @BilingualBear]

@JenmKao They may just be insecure because of their educational background, or lack thereof. #olanderinclusion

[Doug LeBert @BilingualBear]

@JenmKao Nice connection, Jen! #olanderinclusion

[Doug LeBert @BilingualBear]

@AustenRerick30 @katerainey1220 Its always good hear what we are doing right, rather than what we are doing wrong. #olanderinclusion

[Doug LeBert @BilingualBear]

@AustenRerick30 That's a good idea...I would be interested in hearing parents, although I feel some requests could be irrational. #olanderinclusion
