At least 1,200 people died of heatstroke in France last Wednesday, mostly elderly people indoors.
Even crazier, about 70,000 Europeans die from the same every year, akin to a bi-weekly 9/11. Eurobros, please vote for leaders who will let you open your windows and install A/C!
@wholemars Lack of AC kills thousands of elderly each year in the most cruel way. They could allow AC just for them, but they don't. I think they want them to die so they can improve the ratio of old to young. Their policies make this necessary. They took advantage of Covid as well.
@chamath Tesla already has this mapped out. They are putting inference at thousands of Charging stations with Starlink that already has lots of power. They will also leverage Powerwalls in homes, and the inference computers in millions of Teslas while idle - with their huge batteries.
@JohnLeFevre Why don't the Des go after US citizens George and Alex Soros? Why not Warren Buffett who has endorsed Democrats? Most of these Dems are multi-millionaires, and want to shift focus away from themselves.
@SawyerMerritt@Tesla If a pedestrian gets struck and flies on top of the hood, the hood will spring open and to the side batting the person like a ping pong paddle back onto the sidewalk where they belong.
@pbeisel There is a reasonable middle ground. Unsupervised but still required to be in driver’s seat awake if called upon to take over. After that goes well then we go all the way.
