Oh Lord, Listen to your children praying.
Oh Lord, send your Spirit in this place.
Oh Lord, Listen to your children praying.
Send us Love,
Send us Power,
Send us Grace.
Yes, we need more than thoughts and prayers.
This will not change until #Midterms2018

@deanbphillips The Dem motto should be:
Fiscally Conservative and Socially Liberal
95% of the party focus should be on Fiscally Conservative. We need to break the myth that the GOP is better for the economy.
Missouri results shows that voters believe the myth that the GOP is better for the economy and they will worry about social issues later, when they feel secure in their job, housing, food and safety.
The Dems message now:
“Fiscally conservative and Socially liberal”
95% of their focus should be on the fiscally conservative point. This is not a new policy, it describes every Dem administration since FDR.
The GOP is “Fiscally irresponsible and Socially regressive” 1/2
I don't know what to do about the appeal of the "easy fake solution" versus the "complicated actual reality" issue in messaging.
Because when I think about the misinformation I've encountered in the last few months ("tariffs mean other countries have to give us money! Getting
When out doorknocking, one of the things we hear most is that people are sick of the anger, the lies, and the vitriol in today's political system. People are tired of the extremists, which begs the question, how did we get here? Well, before Tom Emmer became the GOP Majority Whip, he was the NRCC Chair, where it was his job to recruit, vet, and approve new Republicans running for the US House. With just THREE days left, here are THREE of the people that Tom Emmer supported and brought into our political system—three embarrassments to the institution that is the US House. We deserve better. #USDemocracy deserves better.
@melizbeez Uncap the House.
Require that all congressional districts be compact and contiguous.
Require all states to allocate EC votes by district results, like Nebraska and Maine.
No amendment needed.

A third of Trump’s campaign funding has come from billionaires, including several he’s pledged to appoint to his cabinet.
Fascism backed by Big Money is one of the most dangerous of all political alliances.
We saw it in 1930s Germany, and we’re seeing it again today.
They remained enemies until shortly before Adams died and he admitted that he wrong and the Aliens and Sedition Acts were his greatest mistake.
Read, A Magnificent Catastrophe by Edward J. Larson
The Aliens and Sedition Acts was the cause of Jefferson and Adam’s falling out. They were fast friends until Adams passed this legislation and it was the main reason Jefferson opposed Adams in the 1800 election. 1/2
Trump called the U.S. "a occupied country" and promised to invoke a 1798 law for historic mass deportation in the nation's most Hispanic state on Thursday.
The diverse crowd cheered loudly.

@DorMouseSez @ghostofJmadison @UncapTheHouse The SJD would submit a list of candidates for the Supreme Court to the President who would choose from that list and then submit their candidate to the entire Senate for confirmation
@DorMouseSez @ghostofJmadison @UncapTheHouse The Senate Judiciary Committee should be made up of 26 Senators, two from each Appeals Court District. Their only Committee responsibility would be the Judicial oversight.
@RevRotation@HillaryClinton Uncap the House.
Require all Congressional districts be compact and contiguous, as the reapportionment acts did prior to 1929.
Require states to allocate electoral votes according to congressional district results, (as in Nebraska and Maine)
As the presidential election nears it’s important to keep in mind how the purpose of the House was broken in 1929 when Congress capped the size of the House despite the intent of the Framers to have it grow with the size of the overall population.
Votes tell the truth. No amount of equivocating and 'nice words' can hide Rep Myers lack of support for Gun Violence prevention. He voted NO on EVERY measure; every single one. His votes speak loudly. Let's make sure people know the truth. We deserve safe communities.
