@ShaleTier7 I feel like for these type of plays one should say “we achieved X% IRR with our most recent and best well, but we think if everything goes right we can get to 80%”
@Albertagarbage Pretty hard to say “You know, this thing you hired me to do probably won’t work, I guess I will start printing resumes” especially if you quit something and put in some equity
@Albertagarbage Despite having some serious people there, Eavor always felt like a scam, but I wonder if it is a Osum type scam. They all drank the koolaid, tried hard and ignored all data that did not support their belief in the project
@ShaleTier7@DanielSLoeb1 I thought if you shut in an oil over water well it reduces the chance it is going to water out. By stopping the drawdown at the wellbore you remove the pressure difference that can cause the more mobile water to cone up?
According to Taylor Sheridan:
Landman: Runs the show in the patch, lands the hot chick, takes PJs every week to Ft. Worth
Roughnecks: Biggest badasses in the patch. Land hot Latina wife
Lawyers: Smart, cunning, can go toe to toe with anyone on negotiations
Geologists: Exotic, mysterious, lands the hot lawyer
Engineers: Fat, old, lives with a bunch of roommates, comdeic relief, claims to be able to get 300 bopd from a vertical workover.
Engineers down big this season of landman
@ShaleTier7 A “highly accomplished mathematician” who chose a career wheee you try to guess if adding another stage to a frac will finally make Yangarra profitable
