Days after Trump announced the ceasefire in early April, Tehran sent multiple aircraft to Pakistan Air Force Base Nur Khan.

Name me another jihadist leader that has displayed Sharaa's military and political acumen. As effective as bin Laden was in uniting jihadists, he united the West and Arab governments against him. Sharaa has charmed everyone while getting exactly what he wants.

Sharaa then moved on the US-backed Syrian Democrat Forces, taking 95% of SDF held territory, again with zero pushback from the US. The Trump admin abandoned the US' decade-long SDF ally and chose Sharaa.

Still very much puzzled by the US striking ostensible IS targets in Sokoto to “protect” Christians - even though violence against them doesn’t really occur there. Is it because the US misunderstands Nigeria’s security landscape? Or just doing the bare minimum to win domestically?
