@kevinnbass@tkelce I’m not up on the research here, but isn’t there also significant risk from contracting COVID short of death? At least as much as the side effects from any vaccines?
For years I’ve called out tax prep companies for scamming taxpayers. Now, it appears these companies may have illegally shared private taxpayer data with Big Tech. I’m working with Senate colleagues to investigate this reckless abuse of Americans’ personal information.
Wildfires. Smoke. Toxic air.
Taking action on climate has never been more urgent.

Republicans and Democrats agreeing that we need to reform environmental procedure laws (NEPA) to build transmission lines faster and mine more critical minerals like lithium.
@kevinnbass This and many other areas where we want to see things more clearly—I’ve been thinking about applying cognitive empathy (@robertwrighter) but it’s a skill that has to be learned (or more importantly, taught) throughout a society. I don’t see an easy fix.
Yesterday, our union (along with @UAW5810) sent a letter to @UCPrezDrake in response to reports that @UofCalifornia is planning to increase class sizes, eliminate TA sections, shrink research groups, and reduce graduate enrollment to offset the new raises in our contract.
Sorrento Valley Road, just steps away from a coaster station and a critical connection in the area’s bike network, has no sidewalk, an unprotected bike lane, and 5 lanes that are barely used
