Really enjoying listening to all the talks over the last few days of the #SOTWPF conference. Lots of work to do to understand the full picture for both plants and fungi! 🌳🌴🍄
@unisepala This analysis focused on species in the wild, so only the natural sites we're included, not the cultural ones. I have raised it with UNESCO that is would be interest to look ex situ too!
The first-ever @UNESCO and @IUCN global assessment of the status and trends of species in #WorldHeritage sites highlights the critical role they play in preserving the diversity of life on Earth.

Great article explaining the issues with carbon offsetting and current carbon credit schemes. We need to stop endorsing #greenwashing. https://t.co/drDw5yd79G
~3,600 assessments for tree species were submitted to @IUCNRedList this year!
Thanks to all our partners and everyone who contributed to compiling data, producing or reviewing assessments!
With @BiologyKate's help, and under the guidance of @bgci, we have Red Listed 53 Central Asian tulips, a huge increase from the 6 tulip species Red Listed previously. The headline, around 50% of these flowers are Threatened. Check out our work here: https://t.co/BNjTc9aF6H
Sometimes we assess more than just trees!
Earlier this year out Tree Data Project Manager @BiologyKate was in Kyrgyzstan helping to assess tulip species. These assessments are now published on @IUCNRedList .
