I've got ME/CFS. It was once as bad as Dianna's. That mask was a BIG help. It uses foam cups so you can literally open your eyes while wearing it in a bright room and see only total darkness. I used it constantly and I see Dianna is currently using a shirt and a regular mask.

@alieward Story to just tweet at you like this, but I know you're working on an ME/CFS episode and have at least a friend who is friends with Dianna Cowern. DM me if you want, but I just want to suggest she get herself a Manta Sleep Mask.

@linsydepooter Having never used overdrive, and having only used Libby for audiobooks:

It's fine. I'm not sure what else I could really want from it, I don't use it to discover books, only to access them.

If I were giving a young man advice as to how he might succeed in life, I would say to him "pick out a good father and mother and begin life in Ohio."

@KristaLerista It's definitely one of those things that makes sense if you TOOK the war trophy, and very little sense if you bought it.

@sciencewithtyus @KristaLerista You can buy the trimmings for these wafers on the street in Colombia like a bag of chips. Just as delicious, none of the holiness.

"Joe thought the lobotomy would help her, but it made her go all the way back. [...] All along, I had continued to believe that she could have lived her life as a Kennedy girl, just a little slower, but then it was all gone in a matter of minutes."

🧵 NEW: Should junior doctors get a 35% pay rise??

Most unions are timid about broaching double figure pay rise demands: not the BMA.

But the fact is, the NHS doesn’t have the pull it once did - and doctors can double their salary overseas @thetimes

Dr.William A White refused to allow Freeman and Watts to experiment on mentally-ill patients at Saint Elizabeth's. He believed that patients could not make an informed decision about the risky surgery, nor could their often desperate families make the decision for them.

Nothing I love more than hypocrisy.

Rose: I don't care what my dad says, I'm marrying Joe Kennedy.

Kick: I'm going to marry Billy!

Rose: No daughter of mine will marry a protestant!!!
