It seems like not a week goes by, that a motor vehicle doesn't end up on the sidewalks of Biscayne Boulevard. How much more evidence do we need @MyFDOT? https://t.co/5TGSMLXL8X
Another day and another motor vehicle ends up on our sidewalks due to poor road design by @MyFDOT. Now we have one less oak tree, which will likely never be replaced. Walking conditions continue deteriorating with one less shade tree on Biscayne Blvd.
Not a good look @GovRonDeSantis@MyFDOT. Over 3,000 people KILLED and 212,000 INJURED in crashes in Florida in 2020. What is our plan & strategy to cut this by 50% in the next 5 years? Hint- it starts w/ designing roads that discourage, rather than encourage, speeding.
@brianbreslin@GovRonDeSantis@MyFDOT@FDOT_Secretary We should expect more crashes in the coming weeks because traffic volume has increased due to the surfside tragedy. Drivers are using Biscayne Boulevard as an alternative route to Collins Avenue.
Another day and another crash on Biscayne Boulevard and the motor vehicle ended up on our sidewalk again. These types of crashes have become a weekly occurrence. What's the plan @GovRonDeSantis@MyFDOT@FDOT_Secretary ?
@miamicityman @collinworth @stoicurbanist @stoicurbanist hasn't given up! Almost weekly reminder emails go out to @GovRonDeSantis@MyFDOT and @FDOT_Secretary . Here's to hoping that persistence will eventually payoff.
Here's another crash from this past week. This week alone we've had at least three crashes where cars end up on our sidewalk on Biscayne Blvd. Oh, the irony with this sign! @GovRonDeSantis@MyFDOT@FDOT_Secretary .
We had another horrific high speed crash on Biscayne Boulevard on 6/10/21. This time a street light, bus shelter and garbage can were destroyed. What's our plan for Biscayne blvd @GovRonDeSantis@FDOT_Secretary@MyFDOT ?
We average at least 2 car crashes per month where vehicles end up on our sidewalks along Biscayne Boulevard. What's the plan @MyFDOT and @GovRonDeSantis ?
3/30/2021 Crashes keep happening on Biscayne, we keep reporting them to @GovRonDeSantis and @MyFDOT and they keep ignoring us. It's no wonder Florida is the most dangerous state in the country for peds & cyclists. Sad!
@ryanvgates@transitmiami@GovRonDeSantis@FDOT_Secretary@MyFDOT This is absolutely the solution. Unfortunately, @MyFDOT designs our roads in such a way that most of roads require enforcement 24/7 enforcement. It's completely unsustainable and an unrealistic expectation. (Police salary, health care pensions, etc.)
Another crash on Biscayne Blvd last night. This time a street light ends up inside an office building. 3rd crash in 3 weeks where vehicles end up on the sidewalk. This isn't normal @GovRonDeSantis@FDOT_Secretary@MyFDOT nor should it be acceptable to any of us. What's our plan?
