Perhaps if the issues that result in people’s oppression were addressed, such as economic ones, race would slide from a major distraction issue to a minor one.

Successful being the key word. But both after a uprise in genetic mix - white Europeans and black Africans combining, and Arabs became a total hodgepodge.
