NEW: Bitcoin network difficulty just dropped 11.16% 😮

That marks the 10th largest negative difficulty adjustment in history.

The move reflects widespread miner shutdowns across the US over the past two weeks, as operators powered down to ease stress on electric grids during severe storms and an intense cold snap.
