Dennis Porter is a scammer. He effectively tried to steal donations from BPI when we worked there (he was caught and had to be fired), he leaked the SBR to the media ahead of Nashville and when I asked him to stop because it jeopardized the announcement he took my texts and gave them to the media as proof, and he bizarrely took the SBR EO BPI wrote, ran it through ChatGPT to reformat it, and claimed it as his own work. This is just what he’s done in our interactions, but I’ve had many people reach out to me with their own horror stories. This is why I banned him from the Bitcoin Conference. In my entire career I’ve never met someone like Dennis before. I honestly think he suffers from psychotic narcissism and highly recommend keeping your distance. I hate writing this post, I realize it’s unprofessional, but I felt like it needed to be said and the longer it goes unsaid the more people he will scam.
One time he told me “I’m a psychopath and I see Bitcoin as a vehicle to eventually become elected to office” I thought he was kidding but turned out it might have been one of the few truthful things he ever told me.
@JesseBrown
It’s a shame that your recent @CANADALAND episode on Twitter, BlueSky, and the future of social media didn’t once mention the Nostr Protocol. You managed to mention @jack, but not his vocal support for Nostr. Why? How? You should check it out.
