I used Devin and OpenHands before Codex came out. The accuracy is on another level.
OpenAI has tuned the model behind Codex really well. In my opinion, Devin or any other company won’t come close. Even with minimal context, Codex delivers the best result for price. I’ve already closed over 50 PRs with it.
@OpenAI@thsottiaux Codex feels like the guy who searches the whole house, checks the CCTV, interviews the dog, and then tells you exactly who stole the cookies.
Claude Code sometimes feels like it sees crumbs near you and says, “Case closed.” 😂
I keep having to prompt @ClaudeDevs like: “Did you check this? Did you check that?” And then it comes back with, “You’re right, I owe you an apology.” 😂
Codex is different. It’s like: “Hold my beer, let me get to the bottom of this.”
Then it comes back with:
“Here are the real issues. Here’s how you fix them.”
And if I say, “I think it should be done this way,” Codex pushes back:
“No, that’s wrong, and here’s the edge case you missed.”
Claude Code would just say:
“You’re absolutely right.” 😂😂
That’s the difference.
@samlambert I saw that post one minute after he posted it, and the first thing that instantly came to mind was: what about latency? In my head, I was like, “Ooo boy, here comes more database controversy.” 😂
@thsottiaux Codex web needs more love. Custom container image have been in the (coming soon) state since the release. + multi repo support. Claude web already has multi repo support.
@karrisaarinen@linear It would be really really helpful if you guys for every release did a walk through of the feature with a video instead of dumping link to doc.. Honestly video goes a long way. I really like how cursor releases products with gif images.
@ryancarson Any one using agents for production is living on the edge of a cliff. I use agents to manage dev environment but that too is on a completely separate aws account
@euboid@Railway You get what you pay for. We stuck with aws, pay little extra so that I can sleep at night knowing they have a big security team and checks in places to prevent this from happening.
100% we are using confluence for all internal docs. @karrisaarinen@linear plz add docs menu and give a dead simple rich text editor this will add tremendous value Currently we have to get ai agents to create confluence docs then we review them before creating linear issues its painful.
