@LiveOverflow Generate a new OTP after a failed attempt.
That is: wait a minute for a TOTP or send a new OTP.
Additionally you can add a recaptcha after three failed attempts. Lock account after 10 attempts (if needed for SLA)
@JackRhysider You can't call it Multi Factor Authentication when you store the One Time Password in the same place as the normal password
BUT it is more secure then only one regular password that never changes. (If you have MFA for you password manager).
It's all about convenience vs security
Just automated installation of some default applications at work.
Security benefits: users don't need admin rights to install and I don't need to go over and input my admin credentials.
Also: I just love automating all the things ๐๐ค๐ป
@TCoolsIT@InfoSupportBV Ik kan me helemaal vinden in jou verhaal: lerarenopleiding+IT cursussen en daarna een burnout ๐
Je geeft geweldige tips om regelmatig over te reflecteren โค
@eagereyes It was great! I wish I had more time to try it out but couldn't get enough friends to use it.
To use it these days, I would need it to be end-to-end encrypted (security enthusiast ๐ )
@ian_infosec I worked on a few dust covered XP machines this week ๐ Great throwback to the good old days.
Just had to fiddle with some cables to get them back up to run information screens in the museum.
