@thehill It was gonna give tRump's team the opp to make the trial a circus (e.g. Jason Miller's "list" of 301+ witnesses) which would have lost the court of public opinion. Ppl are exhausted from 4yrs of tRump sideshows & would have turned against prosecutors. Raskin did the right thing.

It was the right call to proceed as they did. They got important evidence at no cost that bolstered an already strong case. Witnesses were not necessary to the case and witnesses purely for witnesses sake is bad strategy. The outrage should be at the witness intimidation.
