Your brain wants to use the familiar path of least resistance.
The same habits. The same places. The same people.
But if you want to change your life, you need to consciously take the dirt road, over and over again, until it becomes as smooth as a highway.
It takes practice, but you can train your mind to flip into a good mood in an instant by realizing that most of your bad moods come from holding onto things that don't matter and can't be changed. You can choose to frame your situation in a way that leads to more happiness.

“I’ll throw my hat in the ring”
“I’ll roll the dice”
“I’ll take a crack at it”
“I’ll give it a shot”
Stop hedging.
If you’re gonna play, play to win.
