What a lovely sight whilst sitting in the garden today 😍 couldn’t believe my eyes! Lots of #CinnabarMoths on some of the #Ragwort that’s been left to grow for the #Wildlife ❤️ @_JoelAshton thanks to you for informing me about the ragwort and its benefits to our wildlife!
Clarion Housing destroyed an active swift colony by demolishing a building early, breaching the Wildlife and Countryside Act. Tell the Surrey Police crime commissioner to enforce the law 👉https://t.co/cZqGFTt3uc It’s #worldswiftday but no one gives a monkeys.
This body cam footage is extremely shocking.
You can hear Henry Nowak’s pleas about being unable to breathe.
And you can hear how the police dismissed them and failed to take action to try to save his life.
This is not just about knife crime. This is about police failure, poor police training and anti- white racism.
Who is going to be held accountable for this scandal?
This is what entitlement looks like! 🤬
There are nesting waterbirds on this pond on Hampstead Heath... there are also big 'No Swimming' signs, all being totally ignored! 🤬
Pure selfishness... 😒🤬🤬

She posted on Instagram how for four months she was in agonising pain, went repeatedly to hospitals in Newcastle and Durham, begged for blood tests and scans, was told it was all in her head. It was cancer. Dead at 25 six months later. I swear medicine attracts sociopaths
I've said it before & I'll say it again..this sadly won't get to your passed relative/friend, maybe do something better than littering our planet&causing harm to livestock and wildlife. Plant a tree in remembrance which will always be reaching towards the sky! #BanTheBallons!

“Every one of these turkeys is an individual with their own unique personalities, who form strong bonds with their friends.”
This Christmas, Allan, alongside rescuer Claudia, rescued 16 turkeys from a life of captivity and an early death in the name of festive tradition.
Now these turkeys can live out their lives in peace, as every being should.
Donate to support the care of these turkeys, and future animal rescues: https://t.co/XwLd1j2Enj 🦃

No smart phones under 16 seems very reasonable.
When you're at school you need to concentrate on your work, and the rest of the time, get out and play! #swiped
Everyone should watch #swiped about smartphone addiction. Some sad & shocking info on there. We need to wake up to the addiction that's plagued society & damaging kids
If you receive Christmas cards in the post this year, don’t forget to save the stamps - one of our volunteers turns them into much needed funds for the shelter.
We collect stamps all year too.

Two dear little hedgehogs, who were brought into a rescue I mentor, and who were expertly nursed back to health and released, were found dead yesterday.
Poisoned.
The devastated finder had no idea that compost bins are dangerous to animals (and can be to humans too) and should always be kept closed to prevent animals having access.
Decomposing organic matter in a compost bin can contain fungi which produce neurotoxins called tremorgenic mycotoxins.
These naturally occurring substances are highly toxic to both humans and animals.
Although the contents are deadly, the invertebrates the compost attracts make it very inviting to the insectivore hedgehog, who trusts it as a source of food and shelter.
The compost bin will be particularly attractive during the winter as it can provide a warm dry place to nest.
Very few people realise that consuming even a small amount of compost containing these mycotoxins can be deadly, and there is no cure for this poisoning.
Often people who find unexplained dead hedgehogs in their garden have no idea it was their open compost bin which was to blame.
⚠ If you or your neighbours have a compost bin, please ensure it is safe and inaccessable to wildlife, and your pets.
