We may have missed it - but is there a bill in to revise the absentee voting statute and enact No-Excuse Absentee Voting?
@Matt_Blumenthal Good stuff!
But look at the effort required to overcome Eversource's influence.
We strongly urge the legislature to make electrical utilities in CT fully public. No more profit-driven motive, no more undue political influence in the state!
Clarification: Approval of the ballot question does not "pave the way for universal mail-in voting".
Mail-in voting is in a handful of states and is an entirely different system from what was approved, which is "anyone who wants an absentee ballot can apply for one".
