@BrandonWarmke Can you share your taxonomy of “illliberal people”? Is like Kant’s hierarchy? Or maybe you have a 20th century inspiration? What are the comp of this unchanging category of people? Please enlighten us.
@DavidSacks Only Trump…? Is there no bottom to your bootlicking Sacks? Enjoy the grift for two more years. Then you’re back to whining with the All In assholes!
@BrandonWarmke What’s your substantive objection to the second course? As Conservative you not only oppose abortion but the right of people to study the history of and current public policy questions as well?
@brithume Suggestion: if you don’t want to be attacked then don’t steal the land from a people. Then exile, imprison and torture them for resisting and then try expel them the last of their land.
@MatthewKroenig Nobody needs a reminder. State employees take an oath to protect and defend the Constitution. Not the admin or the flag. You carry out the policies of the Executive AND Legislative branches. You don’t work for them. Good luck achieving US interests in a world with no partners.
@paulnovosad@asymmetricinfo It says something - though I’m not sure what exactly - that’s folks make these observations with little sense that they’re casually claiming humans and humans civilization is just another site of production of stuff. No different than computer code or robots.
@yuanyi_z@GregoryConti19 Because a socialist can’t appreciate opera? Quite a take. The difference is we think everyone should have access to the good life, leisure and culture. Not just the rich.
@GregoryConti19 I remain baffled by the desire to create some moral equivalence between the actions of (some) protestors and the crimes they’re protesting. We can question the political utility of tactics but people ought to reread the history of the Civil Rights Movement.
@NateSilver538@TheStalwart Isn’t the point that it’s an analytical error (with real downstream political consequences) rather than a semantic one? Regardless of the good/faith reasons why some use it?
@RushDoshi@JacquelineNDeal@CFR_org How much time have you spent in China Ms. Deal? Obviously people to people contacts aren’t a bilateral relationship. But the idea that those (I was a Princeton in Asia fellow in Hubei/Beijing 94-96) who were part of the engagement era somehow “lost” China again is quite a take.
@paulnovosad Are you suggesting that era of Conservative cultural hegemony was characterized as being guided by evidence rather than power? Could you cite a domain as an example? The university?
@CampDavidAZ@SophiaCai99 This is easy to disprove by looking at public documents. Maybe you’re a bot. Either way do better with the fake claims that the evidence disproves.
