@PHuenermund @AjaycencyMatrix You are understanding it correctly. The humidity argument is certainly logical however I would be reluctant to agree that humidity EQUALLY effects just as much as rain. In fact, more dense air (higher humidity) may allow for aerosols do be suspended for longer?
@PHuenermund @AjaycencyMatrix I understand your criticism on the validity of answering the hypothesized research question however I do not believe that results and discussions should be interpreted as hyperbolic as you suggest.
@PHuenermund @AjaycencyMatrix I believe so. Along with great insight on social distancing discipline this research may bring more light to how weather may effect the likelihood of transmission (I.e. rain decreases the amount of CoVID suspended in the air).
@djc795 Hey David! Wondering your take on how each day there are less people in the population that are at risk for the outcome of ‘new case’? My thought is that the number of cases is relatively small compared to those at risk for infection so likely not a problem but still curious.
@PeterKolchinsky Hey Peter! Thanks for sharing. I am under the (uneducated) assumption that this originated from wet markets in Wuhan. If that’s the case, how would you expect covid to become an annual/seasonal occurrence. Seems like the typical seasonal coronavirus’ are much milder.
@into_the_brush Your concern is real and you’re definitely doing the right thing considering your line of work. What I would say to provide some real world context is: how much is it to test someone? If it’s $15000 for each test would it make sense for you to proactively get tested or stay home?
@dollendorf Example 1 illustrates treatments that differ in effectiveness which do not discriminate against the disabled. The incremental QALY differences demonstrate how a less effective treatment shouldn’t cost as much as a more effective treatment if it wants to ensure access to patients
Happy Tuesday! Article #2 is up!
Asking for more responsibilities at work can be tough. This article discusses some ways to navigate the conversation that I've seen work and hopefully solicits some more thought from others. Please…https://t.co/jdFGRbno83 https://t.co/svbHziyIlB
@Mr_Ektion@MillerIntheD Oh, totally didn’t know that! Let me rephrase it since you’re not well versed in statistics. If they score an extra goal in every other game, they have a shot at winning in overtime.
@Mr_Ektion@MillerIntheD I don’t think losing that many games by 1 goal says anything about specifically defense. The counter argument is that if they could score another 0.5 goals in each of those 1 goal games then they go into overtime in half of them. The bigger picture is their low # of goals for.
@nyr_talk @seang0526 @bklynsportsguy ... you responded to a thread that starts off with ‘Dear #Canucks fans’. And why am I not surprised that you don’t know what respect means.
