Today’s boots on the ground reporting is that chase delauter’s walk up song is pumped louder than the rest of the lineup. It’s the only one you can hear from outside the stadium.

Noting with interest that the Pope’s encyclical and Travis/Taylor buying a piece of the Guards are roughly equivalent in terms of exploding my Twitter timeline
🖥️ The new Artificial Intelligence policy at UC Berkeley School of Law, effective Summer 2026.
📝 Here is the main rule:
"The use of AI is prohibited for aid in conceptualizing, outlining, drafting, revising, translating, or editing any work submitted for credit. AI use is prohibited for any use for any purpose in any exam situation. Students may not upload course materials—including assignments, readings, slides, class recordings, or other class content—into generative AI systems. AI can be used for research on papers ONLY for the limited purpose of identifying sources, such as cases, statutes, or secondary sources."
Something I generally agree with Alito and Thomas on are their views that SCOTUS is required to hear cases under their original jurisdiction. The Constitution literally lists them as the forum for these cases. Without SCOTUS hearing them, states have no venue to resolve disputes
The False Claims Act plays an important role in checking waste and fraud involving taxpayer dollars. It also has an extremely lengthy legal pedigree, dating back to English common law. Glad to see the Supreme Court didn't grant cert here!
One of my favorite family traditions is going to lay roses on graves at the veterans cemetery on Memorial Day. While a lot of people confuse Memorial Day and Veterans Day, Memorial Day was originally called Decoration Day when it started after the Civil War because graves of fallen soldiers were “decorated” to commemorate their service. (It was expanded after World War I to include remembering fallen American soldiers from any war.) Always remember that freedom isn’t free.
Way to soon for me to have substantive thoughts on the Pope’s AI encyclical. But my immediate question is where is the perfectly formatted and typeset PDF like there was for the climate one? I don’t see it on the website.
