A thread on running the @HelvetXLabs Grid Bot

@Rican_Rock asked if I thought about running a grid bot. I said NO. I know experienced traders who got rekt messing with bots, and I am not an experienced trader… so I should not. He said what if I give you one, would you try? I thought that was a bold statement to make. So I accepted the challenge. And I’m going to document my journey and thoughts and the things I learned…here it goes!

Facts on @xSPECTAR, for educational purposes only:

SHO (Strong holders offering): This was something xSPECTAR did offer back in early 2022 under the IDO,   For people who bought a minimum of 5K XRP, there was some special rates, which they never would offer for better rates (This was a lie, a few months later the XS lock reward program released, where it was a better deal) 

XS Lock Rewards: In mid 2022 the XS Lock reward program was created, here members could transfer their tokens to the xSPECTAR Vault, and earn more tokens, and NFTs. XS lock program was ended in early 2024.

8888 Genesis Agents:
Late 2022, 7111 was sold in the Pre-sales and the rest of the 8888 Genesis Agents were ear-marked to the XS Lock Reward. The Pre-sale period was 5 weeks, where it took increased in price week by week, from 444 XRP, 555 XRP, 666, XRP, 777 XRP and then final price 888 XRP. Early 2023 xSPECTAR sold the remaining Genesis Agents for around 100 XRP each, even though they were supposed to be used for  the XS Lock Rewards. 

Crown Council: During the pre-sale of Genesis Agents, 88 Special NFTs were given to the 88 wallets that owned the most Genesis Agents. It was promised that these Crown Council NFTs would be given a Yearly Crown Council Dinner, No Crown Council Dinner has ever been held. 
DS Private collection : In early 2023 xSPECTAR and the XRP influencer XRPP, did launch a collection called DS Private Collection, where it was promised that the funds would be used for Charity, and an event for the DS Private collection holders would be made, No Charity or no events have ever taken place. The total amount raised here was 78K XRP.

The Landsales: In Spring 2023 the landsale launched with a promise that the land could be minted by the latest, at the end of Q2 in 2023.  xSPECTAR did offer several package deals on land in the beginning, like the more plots you bought, the lower the plot price; the best deal were 2000+ plots where 55% Discount was given on the price of 99XRP for each plot.  It's important to understand that without the land minting, the owner's land plots were not accessible, and could not be sold by the landowners.  xSPECTAR did create several special deals on the land at the time, and did lower the price of the land.  In the end of 2023 it was said that by end of December the land sales would be stopped.  Only a few weeks into 2024 it was opened up again.  In the end of 2024 the land sales were lowered to only 9XRP per plot, so waaay below what people paid in 2023. 

The Bitmap Island:
Beginning of Q3, 3552 Bitmaps were bought by xSPECTAR, and were listed on the xSPECTAR website for 0.0088 BTC, for each Bitmap,The Bitmap sales was slow and only 500 or so were sold from the website for 0.0088. In Early 2024, xSPECTAR sold the remaining Bitmaps way below the 0.0088 BTC on the secondary market, while the website still had the Bitmaps listed for 0.0088 BTC (So this was a real rug pull)

Legendary Agents: In December 2023 a small collection looking like VIPs from the XRPL inrfluencers were sold on auction, where again it was promised that 50% of the funds would be used for charity, and once again NO charity distribution was ever done. This time it was 9500 XRP which should had been used for this purpose. 

Rolex and Yacht “CON”test: In 2022 and 2023 several contests were launched where prizes like a Rolex and a Yacht vacation were offered, where it was “insiders” to xSPECTAR who won these contests, so really fraud contests!
XS Lock Payout : In 2024 when the first XS Lock rewards matured and ready for payout, it was discovered that @xspectDS had used all the funds people had deposited, so the price was dumped from 0,1 XRP down to 0,01 XRP for each token. Dirk now needed to earn some new tokens to use for payouts on the first XS Lock terms that matured. He re-opened the XS lock program  again to raise new funds. The technical term for this is a Ponzi scheme: getting new funds from new people to be able to pay old members!
