🇪🇸Spain may bring back indoor face mask rules as flu and COVID cases surge. Health leaders will meet on Dec 3 to decide whether masks should be required in hospitals, health centers, and possibly other crowded indoor venues like cinemas or theatres to help reduce transmission.
Going to say it one more time- invite people w/ lived experience to be on panels. A person speaking ABOUT lived experience of person with #longcovid and/or #mecfs is in NO WAY the same as having a person w/ the disease. Invite community to the table. Nothing about us, without us.
What if the pandemic never ended?
What if they only made us believe it did so we would send our children back to school and return to work?
What if they purposely stopped testing for it so we couldn’t track its prevalence?
What if they purposely called it a cold to downplay its severity, but when the sniffles went away, it left behind brain, blood vessel, and organ damage, or destroyed our immune system?
What if all the forgetfulness, people collapsing in public, the rise in young adults having heart attacks, strokes, and cancer, and all these random sicknesses and mystery illnesses are a result of all that damage?
What if we all opened our eyes and looked at what was really going on around us instead of believing what people tell us is happening?
What if.
