The disabled 500 pound (227 kg) lion and his unlikely Dachshund friends who have been inseparable ever since the lion was a cub.
The lion is named Bonedigger and his friend is Milo, an eight-year-old Dachshund which rarely leaves his side.
Bonedigger was born with a metabolic bone disease that left him mildly crippled and has also struck up an unusual bond with zookeeper John Reinke, who lost both of his legs following a bungee jump accident.
When Milo and two other five-year old wiener dogs, Bullet and Angel, sensed that the lion was disabled they sought to comfort and protect him and become his friends for life.
Was on the train this morning when I found out my dad had passed away overnight. Lady sitting opposite overheard and offered to get off the train with me and go back to the station where her car was parked and drive me home. Strangers can be very kind.

We’re a sandwich generation with care responsibilities in different ways.
We need to trust employees to use “leave days” as they deem necessary.

Who else thinks that the Ontario government should stop spending taxpayer dollars on appealing the court decision that struck down Bill 124…and instead just use that money to fix our healthcare system? ✋🏽
Shame on Doug Ford and his team for taking nurses and other public-sector workers to court just to waste taxpayers' money to fight the unconstitutional Bill 124. What a Premier!
We are APPALLED that the Ford government will appeal the recent court ruling that justifiably found #Bill124 to be unconstitutional.
#OSSTF/FEESO will continue to fight Bill 124 with our #OnLab allies. We cannot allow this type of governance to become normalized! #OntEd#OnPoli
