1/6 This ME Awareness Day I decided to look at some of the photos from before I got sick. This is something I usually avoid doing as it brings on new waves of grief and makes the present harder to contend with. But sometimes I still like to remember.

@anarchautist@Sarah_Alice_X Yeah they make it VERY hard. The stuff that I’ve gotten for autism we really had to fight for and a lot of stuff we didn’t get
Sara Anne is now discussing publishing a paper about the CC community using the “data” (i.e., our info) she collected over in the blue place. This is an alarming escalation and a completely inappropriate and unethical use of such data (which she would understand if she were an actual scientist or even just a decent person). As a scientist who has evaluated human data for over a decade, her suggestion that she is just running analyses (without hypotheses, constraints, or ethical review) is dangerous and makes it clear she doesn’t understand statistics or how to conduct ethical research involving humans. Further, publishing a paper about the CC community would, without a doubt, do damage to the community and further malign people taking any precautions to protect themselves from infectious diseases. If you have an account over there, please consider reporting her account and/or her posts.
So let me get this right: your son saw his sister all dressed up for a date, and used her as a point of contact to express disgust at girls of his generation, and instead of interrogating him for why he would look at his sister that way, you chose to interrogate your daughter?
where are the fu@king feminists who lost their minds over the fake October 7 mass rape? there's actual documented systematic rape being perpetrated by Israeli scum against Palestinians. of course, they're silent about the real stuff.
FYI, this isn't flour. And yes, Gaza is starving. Not because of Hamas missiles, but because of Israel's intentional efforts to prevent proper humanitarian aid from entering the region. In addition to denying and blocking aid, Israel has also reportedly replaced desperately needed bags of food with sand.
The cruelty is the point.
Was in hospital just b4 Xmas for 10 days. Wore mask. No staff masked, despite rising covid in Sydney. One day I saw staff were suddenly masked..asked why. Was told there was covid on ward. No other patients told or protected. I had masked from day 1 and used antiviral nasal sprays, and got out without infection. The day I was discharged, the outbreak was spreading, and finally they began testing all patients. Shocking lack of rights for patients. No right to safe healthcare, because covid is ignored as a preventable nosocomial infection. Going to hospital has become a gamble on personal safety.
Teenage girls have to be the worst treated patients of all. They are routinely subjected to gaslighting abuse, their emotions ridiculously pathologized, their pain ignored or downplayed.
I see children under 12 behave in atrocious ways, screaming for hours and days on end because they are bored or miserable and disturbing everyone in the hospital; if a 13 year old girl gets emotional there’d be a psych assessment and olanzapine stat. Teen boys who cry in pain get quickly reviewed.
Medicine does not like teenage girls.
Ingrained misogyny is so apparent.
“Remember me! I am the passionate chef you saw brutally murdered only for feeding people”
I am Mahmoud Al-Madhoun, 32 years old, a Business Administration graduate from Al-Aqsa University who found my passion in cooking and dreamed of opening my own restaurant.
When the genocide began, I stayed in northern Gaza, dedicating myself to cooking for community kitchens and eventually establishing one of my own to feed those suffering from hunger, despite limited resources.
On November 31, 2024, while serving my people amidst the devastation, my life was taken by Israeli aggression, leaving my dream unfulfilled but my efforts remembered.
