@will__price I thought post-only means that the matching engine has at least rested the order before returning the status.
At least that is how HL and Extended work, because you can get matched within the next cycle (and before the taker speedbump time)
@Armv7lFx@0xLouisT but that means that onchain validation of position health is based on data which is not signed by oracles. Whats to stop paradex from just building a position vs their users and making the price to whatever they want.
On chain validation of prices is a must for fair liquidation!
@Armv7lFx@0xLouisT no they can't be - if prices went to zero and were accepted on the chain, it means they could not actually come directly from pyth and stork as all other perp dexes did not have the same issue (almost all dexes now use one or the other)
@Armv7lFx@0xLouisT One thing a lot of people are overlooking, is if prices did actually go to 0, causing liquidations - that means Paradex has full control of their price feeds. THERE IS NO EXTERNAL PRICE VALIDATION.
@DeFiVoyager_X@Lighter_xyz@paradex its not public, it's self reported made up numbers, check out their defilama adapter: https://t.co/IMtC5cCGbi
it's just a link to a database they control.
@paradex now has all three pillars of fucking about
1. Private contracts (you can't audit)
2. Private state (you can't check)
3. Private chain (you can't exit)
They've just built FTX with more steps.
@rf_extended@fiddybps1@paradex@extendedapp Ok thanks. I will take a look at this. I’ve asked almost all dexes this same question, extended is the only one that has been able to provide any auditable source code for their contract. Everyone else is just trust me bro. Pathetic.
@fiddybps1@rf_extended@paradex@extendedapp This is just starknet 0.14 right? You still fully control the inputs to the chain and all its components? Without the contracts you could just have “ 1 == 1 “ for all validations. It’s pointless and zero value to claim anything without auditability and verify.
@fiddybps1@rf_extended@paradex@extendedapp lol so you control the contracts, you control the chain and no one can audit anything? This is just FTX with extra marketing. What’s to stop you from say censoring / reverting user trades if they cause a loss for the exchange vault hmm?
@fiddybps1@rf_extended@paradex@extendedapp This is interesting, could you show any proof that this is the case? Do you have any contracts others can view? Or should We just rely on “trust me bro” ?
@letsgetonchain how can lighter verify ordering when they control the sequence of transactions sent to the application?
Lighter only verifies that a trade is valid vs the state of the orderbook (which they control inputs to)
@VirginMediaIE I due to home working, I'd need to change my hub 3.0 to use "modem mode" so that I can use work provided router + vpn. Is this possible?
