Friends,
With a heavy heart, I came here to tell you that 6-year-old Yevheniia has died in hospital. Her injuries from the Russian strike were too severe.
Her 20-year-old sister, Dasha, shielded her with her own body - she was killed on the spot.
The parents lost both of their daughters. They were also injured.
Deepest condolences...
Russia keeps killing Ukrainian children. Russia must answer for its countless unforgivable crimes.
Bucha. Four years ago.
Over 500 bodies were discovered there — many showing signs of torture and rape. The trauma inflicted on the people of Bucha, and the whole Ukraine from that terrible Russian occupation, will haunt generations.
Just one day before the Russians withdrew, my friends and I were less than 20 kilometers away from Bucha. We came under heavy shelling. Grad rockets rained down around us. The walls shook violently, and the windows shattered. To this day, I thank God that we survived. It was only by His will. Had the Russians adjusted their trajectory even slightly, you would no longer remember my name.
On April 4, Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Bucha. His face was twisted with horror as he walked among the bodies. Yet, standing before dozens of television cameras, he declared that negotiations — which were then underway in Istanbul — would continue. At that moment, he still wanted to do everything to stop the war.
In just a few weeks, everything would change.
Russian bastards shelled a dog shelter in Zaporizhzhia.
Eight dogs were killed. Twenty more were injured. One shelter worker was wounded.
Don’t tell me it was a military target. Don’t tell me.
What should alarm us about the Epstein files isn’t just the appalling details.
It is the degree to which enormously wealthy and powerful people live by their own rules — and continue to get away with it.
It’s a club where the rules and the law don't apply. And you’re not in it.
I read about grandmother Zhenya, who froze to death in her apartment in Kyiv. She survived the Holocaust, but did not survive this winter. It turns out we were almost neighbors; she lived at Podil.
The Russians killed an elderly couple who were trying to evacuate on their own from an occupied village in the Sumy region. The man was pulling his wife on a sled through the snow. First, one FPV drone targeted the woman. The second drone attacked the already wounded man, who remained next to her body.
In the Kharkiv region, Russian Shahed drones targeted a passenger train. The car caught fire, there were killed and injured people, and all the passengers were evacuated.
The Russians hit a residential building with a drone last night in the Kyiv region. A 4-year-old girl was rescued by a neighbor. Her parents were crushed and burned alive.
Next week it will be minus - 22 C (degree Celsius), -7.6 F (degree Fahrenheit), so there will be large-scale shelling again on the weekend.
People are freezing not just in Kyiv. This photo is from Lviv. The temperature in the room when there is no electricity. 12°C (degree Celsius) is 53.6°F (degree Fahrenheit).
Why has Trump's year of negotiations with Putin become the deadliest year for civilians in Ukraine since 2022?
Because the human dimension in this war doesn't matter to the US negotiators. So, Putin decided he could do whatever he wanted.
Ukrainian Instagram is currently exploding with numerous videos showing how people are coping amid extreme cold, with temperatures often plunging far below zero (down to -10°C to -20°C in many areas), coupled with severe limitations on electricity, heating, and running water due to ongoing Russian attacks on energy infrastructure.
Funny and sorrowful at the same time. An attempt to smile in crisis is an element of dignity
No matter how much a regime suppresses its people, the real power is always in the hands of the people. That’s my message to the brave people of Iran. The youth of Iran is the future of Iran. ❤️
Thank you to the millions of Americans who turned out in small communities and big cities all over this country to say loudly and boldly:
No more kings.
In America, We the People will rule.
According to Hamas propagandists and their supporters, Ahmed—and the thousands of Palestinians in Gaza behind him in anti-Hamas protests—are “Zionists” simply for protesting and opposing Hamas.
A Christian child was injured in the terrorist bombing at Mar Elias Church in Damascus, where a terrorist blew himself up inside.
She is alone in the hospital. Her family’s fate remains unknown.
Please pray for the victims, their families, and the Christian community in Syria.
This little three-year-old boy was born under the explosions of Russian missiles in Ukrainian cities. And he was killed by the explosions of Russian missiles in Ukrainian cities.
Russia is killing Ukrainian children.
Trump berates Zelensky, the leader of a democratic country courageously fighting Russian imperialism, while he allies himself with Putin, a dictator who started the bloodiest European war in 80 years.
Sorry, President Trump. We believe in democracy, not authoritarianism.
Trump and his American oligarchs are now openly aligning themselves with Putin and his Russian oligarchs.
This Putin-Trump alliance means abandoning our allies, supporting authoritarianism and undermining our democratic traditions.
Ukraine withstood the most horrific military attack in Europe’s modern history and three years of a total war.
The Ukrainian people and their President @ZelenskyyUa refused to give in to Putin’s pressure.
Nobody can force Ukraine to give up. We will defend our right to exist.
Whether on land or at sea, migrants deserve to be safe, to have their dignity respected.
We are witnessing a steady increase in the numbers of migrants leaving their homes, undertaking dangerous and deadly journeys in search of safety and better prospects.
Recently, another rescue was conducted by the Ocean Viking in the international waters off Libya where survivors have been taken care of by the @IFRC and @SOSMedIntl.
Ahead of International #MigrantsDay, I call for urgent action to ensure that people on the move have access to essential humanitarian needs, regardless of their status.
