A new Supercharger is coming soon to Key West, Florida!!!
Permits were issued last week for a 12-stall station at the Winn-Dixie on N Roosevelt Blvd.
The site is located just 2.5 miles from the Southernmost Point Monument.
YIKES...LIVING ON THE EDGE! NOT AN OFFICAL FORECAST BUT...when the IBM GRAF Model speaks...we listen. It predicted today's path last night before the rest of all model guidance followed suit. The latest 18z run (which could be an outlier) continues to be right of the tropical model envelope, and faster than the current NHC forecast, but Beryl ultimately is in the cone of uncertainty issued at 10am CDT.
AGAIN, THIS IS NOT OFFICIAL AND DO NOT MAKE DECISIONS ON ONE MODEL!
I would expect the NHC to nudge Beryl's forecast track more to the right/east for the forthcoming advisory, toward Corpus Christi with a host of 'watches" for portions of the Texas Coast.
The longer Beryl stays over water temperatures in the upper 80s to near 90° the better prospects of a more intense hurricane, impacting a larger swath of the Texas Coast...and if this model is to be believed, putting anywhere from Corpus to Houston in the crosshairs of the storm.
Next advisory will be issued before 4pm...stay tuned. #lawx #txwx #beryl #HurricaneBeryl
I was just Supercharging, and this Ford Lightning comes in. The Chargers were getting full, and this poor gentleman was looking about for a spot for a long time until he ended up doing this.
I got out and spoke with him about his nice new truck, and he spoke highly of Tesla, their superior maps and how he felt fortunate to be able to use the Supercharging network. What he felt bad about was how he had to park, and how he had no choice but to take up two spots.
I am really glad that these other vehicles can use Tesla’s Supercharging, but is it possible to make longer cords for them? The gentleman I spoke to was so sweet, and I would hate to see someone get angry at our fellow EV owners for taking up extra spots at no fault of their own.
