The paucity of today's mainstream publishing culture isn't "women are there" it's because it's a narrow monoculture focused on moral signalling rather than being a broad culture interested in profit and entertainment. It's not "It's run by women" but "It's run by a very narrow subset of women from a handful of schools and a single thin slice of the social strata."
