The Department of State Services on Thursday arraigned one of its retired officers, Nwaogu Ihechimere Ezeakolam, before the Federal High Court in Abuja on a four-count charge bordering on alleged terrorism-related offences and cybercrime.

The prosecution told the court, presided over by Justice Muhammed Umar, that Ezeakolam’s alleged actions contravened Sections 13, 25 and 26 of the Terrorism (Prevention and Prohibition) Act, 2022.

After the charges were read, the defendant pleaded “not guilty” to all four counts.

Following his plea, counsel for the DSS requested that the matter be fixed for trial and urged the court to remand the defendant pending the determination of the case.

Gowon said, “The Central Bank created a panel to examine all the effects of converting the Biafran pound into another currency, but it was clear this would be a tough task because from the start, the Biafran currency wasn’t officially recognized as legal tender in Nigeria.

“Because there were so many Biafran pounds in use, the Federal Government realized it couldn’t exchange all of them at the same value as the Nigerian currency without causing the economy to fail.

“Economic specialists suggested that the Federal Government should set the payment to around 20 Nigerian pounds for every adult from Biafra, no matter how much Biafran money they bring back.

IPOB global family governance shall provide two leadership positions;

1. The Directorate Of State

2. The Igwebuike Assembly.

These are the core leadership positions contained in the new IPOB constitution. Pending when the Igwebuike Assembly shall be constituted, the DOS is in charge of every aspect of IPOB. The three main offices of the DOS are the HDOS, The Deputy Head and the Secretariat headed by a secretary

Suspected Fulani jihadist terrorist invade Catholic Church in Enugu, abduct seminarian and others

The armed men are said to have invaded St. Joseph Catholic Church, Inoyi, in Affa, Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State, this morning, August 2.

Speaking in a video, locals said it was raining when people began going to church.

However, those on the way to the church saw a crowd running out of church and they told them that at least seven armed men had invaded their church and kidnapped some members, including the seminarian.

The locals said they chased after the kidnappers but there was not much they could do since they are not armed and the suspected Fulani kidnappers are well armed.

The locals said they are willing and able to protect themselves and go into bushes to fish out the kidnappers. However, they asked how they would do that without weapons. They said even their local security agents do not have arms.

They called on the government to intervene and keep them safe or give them arms to secure themselves.

They lamented that one of those kidnapped is an indigene who returned to bury his father.
