TLDR:
1⃣ Next week is the last chance to create new OCM Certificates of Ownership.
2⃣ OCM on ETH and BTC are each 10k collections, connected through the Certificates.
3⃣ Owners of the ETH OCM "burn" it to receive the BTC OCM.
4⃣ The 10k BTC OCM includes several collections, one of which is the Certificates.
5⃣ Metagood treasury will hold the remaining BTC OCM.

In 2021, @OnChainMonkey became one of the first fully on-chain collections, before many even realized on-chain art was possible. Immutable, permanent, and unchangeable. There will always be 10,000 OCM on Ethereum.

In 2023, OCM explored art on Bitcoin with entirely new collections:

🟠 Inscription 20219: creating a standard for generative art collections on Bitcoin.
🟠 Deconstructed: abstract generative art.
🟠 Perspectives: exploring the medium of Bitcoin with Recursion and Parent-Child Provenance.
🟠 Certificates of Ownership: conceptual art of digital ownership.

The first three are each 10k collections on Bitcoin. Completed in 2023, and immutable on Bitcoin. The Certificates are different: they’re created through a teleburn process that began in 2023 and ends next week.

The creation of each Certificate involves a leap of faith. The owner of the OCM on Ethereum must relinquish ownership in a ritual to create the Certificate. The inspiration is from an idea Yves Klein explored in his concenptual art, that is to truly experience ownership of something, you must "burn" it. The owner of the OCM on Ethereum sends it to an address where no one knows the private key. The OCM art still exists on Ethereum but no one has the keys to transfer it again. Then the Certificate of Ownership is inscribed on Bitcoin with the details of each teleburn. The owner of the OCM truly owns it because he or she experienced the "burning" of their art, and receives a new art of the Certificate that is the expression of the ownership on Bitcoin.

Next week, the 8th and final portal closes (we've had a portal each quarter for 8 quarters now). No more Certificates will ever be created after.

The four collections on Bitcoin (20219, Deconstructed, Perspectives, Certificates) also explored the use of Reinscription and are inscribed on the same 10k sat range from 45017800001 to 45017810000. The Certificate collection will be the only one that is less than 10k. After next week, the remaining OCM Genesis stay with the Metagood treasury. These are important assets we’ll keep building value for.

Bitcoiners always had the vision that important assets can be secured on Bitcoin. In 2015, I had an attempt with @KiteVC and @HDeSotoPeru when we worked with the government of Egypt on land titles secured by the blockchain.

In February 2023, we secured a 10k generative art collection on Bitcoin for only 5k vBytes! That's the 10,000 unique images of @OnChainMonkey in the size of a regular Bitcoin transaction!
