Our preprint is now available! This study shows that dreams and brain activity during sleep can predict performance gains in a videogame simulation of a prey vs predator confrontation, but only for subjects in the prey role.

@LucidDreamTips Great study! I think the biggest potential to study lucid dreaming is by sleep fragmentation, like in this study: https://t.co/GFn28CxNJ9
@LucidDreamTips Indeed. I'm happy to be working with Dr. Sidarta Ribeiro, who has an active research topic on lucid dreaming induction and understanding.
@LucidDreamTips That's why the leaflets of some medications say "Do not operate heavy machinery until you know how this medication affects you". That would be the case of a psilocybin leaflet.
This is so cool - good evidence that during dream sleep your brain is simulating a world/internal model by issuing motor commands and simulating their consequences on brain representations even if your body does not execute them
This AI reads papers, generates the hypothesis, performs experiments, analyzes the results, writes the paper, and reviews it! 🤯 AI is definitely going to change everything.
🎉 Stoked to share The AI-Scientist 🧑🔬 - our end-to-end approach for conducting research with LLMs including ideation, coding, experiment execution, paper write-up & reviewing.

@mari_ecpereira Finished reading the paper. It's beautiful. It's great when a study finds out the involvement of unexpected players like the cerebellum. Paves the way for a change in goals for researchers in the neural correlates of dreaming.
