Everyone is freaking out over these Dinosaur Portal drawings in the latest UFO tranche release by the U.S. Government.

Let me explain what this is…

These are Defense Intelligence Reference Documents (DIRDs).

And importantly: this material is NOT new.

The image being circulated comes from a DIRD titled “Traversable Wormholes, Stargates, and Negative Energy,” authored by physicist Dr. Eric W. Davis.

These documents came out of the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Advanced Aerospace Weapon System Applications Program (AAWSAP) era, beginning in the late 2000s.

AAWSAP contracted Bigelow Aerospace Advanced Space Studies (BAASS), and part of that work involved commissioning specialists to produce technical studies examining where extremely advanced aerospace science and technology might potentially go in the coming decades.

Physicists and scientists including Dr. Eric W. Davis and Dr. Harold “Hal” Puthoff, alongside numerous other specialists, contributed papers.

The important context is that these were largely forward-looking technical/theoretical studies.

They investigated everything from relatively conventional emerging technologies to highly speculative areas of theoretical physics: advanced propulsion, fusion, metamaterials, quantum vacuum energy, antigravity, warp drives, negative mass and traversable wormholes.

The existence of a DIA-sponsored paper examining a technology therefore does not establish that the U.S. Government possesses that technology.

The wormhole DIRD, for example, examines the theoretical physics associated with traversable wormholes, negative energy and hypothetical “stargates.” The now-viral dinosaur illustration is essentially illustrating the concept of a wormhole connecting spatially and/or temporally separated locations.

It is not a newly released photograph or engineering diagram of an operational US Government dinosaur portal.

In total, 38 DIRDs were reportedly produced. After a FOIA request by John Greenewald Jr. of The Black Vault, the DIA released 37 of the 38 reports in March 2022.

So we have already had this extraordinary collection available publicly for years.

And frankly, the actual collection is interesting enough without misrepresenting what it is.

That is the context behind the “dinosaur portal.”

It belongs to a much larger body of DIA-sponsored research examining what advanced aerospace technologies and exotic physics could theoretically look like, not evidence that somebody at the Pentagon opened a Stargate and found a T-Rex on the other side.

And if you think the dinosaur drawing is wild, I strongly recommend actually reading the DIRDs.

Some of the physics being explored in these documents is considerably more interesting than the meme currently circulating.

Thank you for (finally) addressing my actual argument, @michaelshermer. Unfortunately, your response is more like an example of my thesis (advancing fallacious arguments to resolve cognitive dissonance) than it is a refutation of any premise.

I proposed the existence of a powerful force (PF) that appears to act with impunity within the U.S. You demand that I name names, and you suggest I would be laughed out of the Grand Jury chamber if I refused.

What a strange leap. I’m making a logical argument for seeking to identify perpetrators. You want to impose a legal standard from the stage when *the state* has not only identified suspects, but believes it has a strong enough case to prove their guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

You’re a smart man. You know that doesn’t make sense. Many crimes are evident before perpetrators can be identified, let alone prosecuted. That’s why we have investigations. Obviously.

Thesis:

2. Official investigations (conducted by captured agencies) actively avoid revealing the PF.

3. Cover stories for crimes committed by the PF are reflexively validated and become mainstream narratives.

4. Domain experts are intimidated and punished by the PF for exploring anomalies in official narratives.

5. Domain experts who do respond to these social threats end up fooling themselves in order to resolve their cognitive dissonance, rationalizing official explanations and "debunking" credible hypotheses about the activity of the PF.

6. Dissident, non-conforming experts are ridiculed, leaving them socially and professionally outcast.

7. Because the social and career costs are extreme for those who question official narratives, a market for sophistry emerges--Experts and laypeople alike seek to rationalize their own complacency against the PF.
