@samueleyekosi John is the latest Gospel, and was likely written with access to the early Jesus community, and the other disciples and their writings, John lived with Jesus for 3 years, saw Jesus rose and further instruct the disciples, and was endowed with the Holy Spirit post resurrection.

@ladifari @pastorpaper It's how to read Hebrew and the term "Kol Ha'aretz", which basically means of "the whole Earth". What that means to Israel is different, they didn't know the Western Hemisphere, God is perfect, he talks through imperfect people, this will help you make sense of the whole Bible.

@kt4me I've heard this argument before, I think it's kind of weak, when the Law is instituted originally, the command "man shall not lay with man" comes within the context of several moral and sexual laws, the power dynamic doesn't come from a natural reading imo, but Hebrew is fickle.

@deadhulk7 A Young earth creationist perspectives places the Earth around 6,000 years old, Old Earth Creationists view the Earth as possibly much much older, but there are a variety of views on this. This is a dense issue, but Christianity is incompatible with none of them.
